(In Figurative Language, pay careful attention to similes and metaphors- that's what the assignments are about). You may practice in game mode!

*Complete Narrative Writing Day 3 - Complete step 1 (captivators video), then go to the Resources & Visual Aids tab and complete those activities before continuing with step 2. You will be taking what you wrote in Day 2 and will add some other details to it - You need to add at least 2 prepositions and 1 simile. Remember, you are ADDING to what you have already written!
* In Google Classroom or in Read Works, Read the 2 stories that have been assigned, then answer the questions. Complete sentences are necessary for questions 8-10 on each story!!

*Complete the assignment in Study Island , "Punctuation". I strongly encourage you to take the lesson and complete a practice before doing the assignment: Punctuation (6f). To find the assignment, go to my classes - ELA.
*Complete lesson 6 part 2 in Writing City. This can be a paragraph or more. (I would prefer 5 paragraphs, but will accept 1). Make sure you have given 2-3 good details supporting your opinion. If you have completed this and only wrote 1 paragraph, I have returned it to you. Check it over very carefully and then submit it again.
*In Google Classroom or Read Works, read the 2 stories that have been assigned: "Watch for Steady Rocks" and What's the Big Idea About Earth?" After reading each story, answer the questions in Question Sets. MAKE SURE YOU USE COMPLETE SENTENCES WHEN ANSWERING THE SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS!
*Also in Google Classroom, there is another story you are to read, "How do Rocks Change?" Read this, then answer the questions - the questions are another attachment in Google Classroom. (Answers must be in COMPLETE sentences!). You may turn this in on Google Classroom, share it in a google doc, or email it to me.

There are 2 assignments in there. The first is Genre Historical Fiction. This is the anchor chart. You may want to write down what makes a story historical fiction – you will have to answer a question on that after you read the story.
