Dear Parents and Families of General Myer Elementary,
I am beyond grateful and excited to be the new principal at General Myer Elementary School. It is my firm belief that our students are the best in Arizona and in the nation. I cannot wait to get to know each one of them by name so I can motivate them to try their best to be successful every day. Please know that we are a team--parents and General Myer staff--brought together to ensure success for our students. Together, we will accomplish making a difference in our children’s lives by providing high academic expectations and positive support systems both inside and outside of the classroom.
We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We know that in order to be successful in school, our students need support from both the home and school. As a team, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our best to carry out the responsibilities. It is important that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she: attends school every day (online or in-person); completes the school or homework that is provided every day; shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life; knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school both academically and behaviorally; maintains consistent communication with our school staff.
We follow the four B’s at General Myer. These are our school expectations. The B’s are: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Kind. Please read the school handbook for more information on the rules, procedures, and expectations we set for our students every day.
On behalf of the General Myer Elementary faculty and staff, I thank you for trusting us with your smart, strong, and amazing children. We appreciate your continued support. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or praises for the hard work we continue to put in for the success of every student. Go Eagles!
Your Partner in Education,
Mr. Sam Granillo
