This is the last week of assignments. Students are to complete the Math assignment and then choose one assignment from Study Island ELA and one assignment from Read Works. They may do both if they choose. Also, students should be working on completing missing assignments this week.
MATH:
*In Study Island, go Coordinate Systems (6g) Go through the lesson so you understand the concept. Then practice using game mode.

Please watch the lesson, and complete the practice. There is a power-point presentation called Quadrilaterals assignment in Google Classroom. This slide show should help with Study Island.

*I strongly recommend that you go to Study Island ELA and take the lesson and or practice on Conjunctions (6a) and Interjections (6b) before beginning the Writing City assignments. But this is optional.
* In Writing City, Complete the lessons and activities for Unit 4: Opinion Writing Days 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
Instructions for Lesson 6: Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons. Introduce the topic or text they are writing about, state an opinion, and create an organizational structure that lists reasons. Provide reasons that support the opinion. Use linking words and phrases (e.g., because, therefore, since, for example) to connect opinion and reasons.
Instructions for Lessons 7-11 is the Writing Process. This is when students make editing and revisions to their drafts. They check for understanding: Is their statement clear? Did they provide evidence? Is the spelling and grammar correct? This is a process that will take several days. It is suggested that students check their statement and evidence one day. Another day, check for spelling, and the last day check for grammar. Finally, they should have a well written opinion piece that should be ready to submit. Please submit when completed
