3. Students will log onto Study Island and complete the ELA Unit Quiz assignment.

For math this week we will review fractions by playing an escape room game! Before beginning the activity, please watch the Escape the Galaxy Tutorial. Players will need access to a google account to access the game and its contents. Players will need to “make a copy” of the google documents needed when they access a room. This allows players to move pieces, edit text, etc. to complete the puzzles. The game should take students around 45 minutes to complete the activity, depending on internet connectivity and students’ problem solving abilities.

1. Students will sign into Spelling City and complete vocabulary games to practice the vocabulary words. Students will take the vocabulary test.

2. Students will go on Pearson My View and reread the text Trashing Paradise , and review the video, “Bye Bye Plastic Bags on Bali”. Students will then go on Google Forms to complete comprehension questions about the text and video.

Click on the link and follow the directions to complete the math problems.

After reading the text Trashing Paradise and "Bye Bye Plastic Bags on Bali" on Pearson My View, compare and contrast the two texts by completing the Google Slides activity.

Go to Pearson My View. Complete the Weekly Launch reading. Then click on the link to complete the Weekly Launch Google Form below.

Compose an alliteration poem. Follow the directions as written in the Google Forms poem link below.

For our next Zoom meeting on Wednesday, May 6th, Ms. Bronson will be joining us and leading a fun science activity with our class! The activity is called "Earth Parfaits". The students will be making a simple model of an aquifer out of sweet treats. They will then "contaminate" the surface water with sprinkles and watch it infiltrate into the groundwater. At the end, with parent's permission, they can eat their aquifer! Students will need a few supplies to make their earth parfaits. Please see the attached list. Please have the items ready to use during our Zoom meeting next Wednesday. I look forward to our science activity!

Students will watch the lesson on Comparing Fractions on Math Antics.

Complete 2 days of Reflex Math. If you have mastered all of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division fluency, then complete 2 days of Prodigy.

Respond to the text by writing an opinion paragraph by clicking on the the Google Docs link. Using the text "The Top Ten Ways You Can Reduce Waste", type an opinion paragraph in response to the prompt.

Go to Pearson My View. Read the argumentative text anchor chart assignment and the read the selection The Top 10 Ways You Can Reduce Waste. Then complete the Google Forms multiple choice comprehension questions about the selection.

1. Log into Pearson My View and go through the assignment Interactive Weekly Launch. Then go over the vocabulary words for this week by looking up the definitions for the following words on the online dictionary for kids:

Then click and complete the Google Form linked assignment with vocabulary and comprehension questions.

Students will go over the lesson and complete the assignment Equivalent Fractions in Study Island.

Click on the Geology Poem Google Doc assignment link. Using the graphic organizer template from the Geology Slides as a guide, please type your poem on Google Docs and submit.
