Effective July 1, 2026, the Arizona Healthy Schools Act prohibits schools from serving, selling, or allowing for the distribution of ultra-processed food on the school campus during the regular school day.
Prohibited Ingredients
- Potassium Bromate
- Propylparaben
- Titanium Dioxide
- Brominated Vegetable Oil
- Yellow Dye 5 and 6
- Blue Dye 1 and 2
- Green Dye 3
- Red Dye 3 and 40
What does this mean for FHASD?
- This law does not place any restrictions on lunches and snacks brought to school by individual students.
